Micro frontends

2019-06-18 01:363 https://martinfowler.com/articles/micro-frontends.html TL;DR In short, micro frontends are all about slicing up big and scary things into smaller, more manageable pieces.

2019-07-11 07:56 It is not an ideal state to have many front-end frameworks within the company but it is a way to transition to a more homogenic front-end situation. Medium article

2019-11-30 15:37 THIS is a very interesting way of including different frameworks into each other. At 13:50 [https://youtu.be/o1Sr39DVdOQ] extra interesting in conjunction with the open-wc project. 2019-12-05 16:59 Embedding a react SPA in a Web Component https://medium.com/@gilfink/wrapping-react-components-inside-custom-elements-97431d1155bd to be used in another framework.

Redux

2019-06-20 11:33 As mentioned in a private conversation, a new way of connecting react components to redux that is less verbose. Right now in react-redux release candidate. https://youtu.be/3zoIigieur0 This looks promising.

2019-07-10 01:41 And BOOM! Version 7.1 of React-Redux is officially released. (7.1 uses React hooks to connect to Redux store that I in previous examples got from a alpha release candidate.) More info and a timeline travel through some previous versions here https://youtu.be/zNs-phgKx3Q by a Redux dev person.

2019-08-30 09:31 React Router with Redux Medium article 2019-10-31 08:52 Above is yesterdays news. Today this is how to do it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZeulkp1ClA with React Router v5.

2019-11-03 22:09 This is a comendable project redux-starter-kit that I wont use for two reasons. 1 - IMO it does create a lot of stuff for you that you will not understand unless you go through the pain of both discover the need for or get to know because you’ve done all the wiring by yourself. 2 - It is opinionated and not necessarily the way I prefer to set it up. However I will look into it some more because it also has some off the shelf utility functions I have not seen before.

2019-11-03 22:18 This “getting started with Redux” has one of the best instructions I think on how to wire up Redux Saga and get started. Unfortunately the rest is class based React and thus a bit out of fashion but if one only focus on the non-react parts it has some golden nuggets apart from Sagas aswell. https://www.valentinog.com/blog/redux/ Note to self: The way action creators/action types are set up is the same as in SCadmin and this will come in handy in the upcomming React project.

2019-10-31 09:36 Remember the differences android and ios measures window height in respect to the keyboard was a headache when I was doing the mobile version of the current configurator. Now it seems there is a native solution. (I had to store the viewport height upon onload as an attribute or css style on mobile and lock it to that)
